The TechEquity Collaborative is a new organization harnessing the civic energy of the tech community to create the conditions where the Bay Area’s tech-driven economy can work for everyone. We’re throwing a party to launch our membership program and kick off our initiatives to advocate for change in policy areas like housing, workforce development and access to technology.
If you, like us, believe the tech industry — built on the internet, the most democratizing communications platform in human history — can and should contribute to broad-based economic growth that benefits everyone, then join us to show your support.
The night will kick off with a VIP reception and panel where we’ll hear from local politicians and policymakers, including Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and California Assemblyman David Chiu, as well as leaders in the tech industry, about the importance of Tech’s role in local public policy conversations. After that, we’ll celebrate our founding members on the roof of the Kapor Center and help you find the ways that you can plug in.
We’ll be serving great food from local Oakland chefs, and complementary beer, wine and soft drinks will be available.
